GUWAHATI, Aug 22 - Shahil Dey of Assam secured the silver medal in the U-12 rapid category of the 15th Malaysian International Chess Festival at Kuala Lumpur today. Shahil scored 5.5 points out of 6 rounds and finished joint first. However, he had to settle for the silver medal on the basis of tie-break score.
Shahil along with Dhrupad Kashyap and Nandan Buragohain of Assam Chess Club are also participating in the open category of the event, stated a press release.
