Shah to campaign in 3 NE states today

GUWAHATI, April 4 - BJP president Amit Shah will campaign for his party in Assam, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh tomorrow, including addressing a public meeting at Jagiroad.

Shah will arrive at Dibrugarh from New Delhi late this evening and spend the night there.

Early tomorrow morning the BJP chief will depart by helicopter to Bordumsa in Arunachal Pradesh where he will address a party meeting, before returning to Dibrugarh.

Shah will then depart by a special flight to Imphal. He will attend a BJP rally at Thoubal district of Manipur, before leaving for Guwahati.

The BJP president will arrive at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport here at 2:45 pm and immediately depart by chopper to Jagiroad.

He will address a public meeting at the Ahatguri Mahjuj playground at Jagiroad for BJP�s Nagaon constituency candidate Rupak Sarmah at 3:45 pm.

Senior BJP leaders, including Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and NEDA convenor Himanta Biswa Sarma, will be present at the event.

Nagaon constituency will go to the polls in the second phase on April 18.

Later, Shah will return to Guwahati and then leave for Ahmedabad in a special flight.

This will be Shah�s second visit to Assam in the span of a week. He had campaigned for the party at Kaliabor and Jorhat on March 28.
