SFI, DYFI stage protest

JORHAT, Dec 23 - The Jorhat units of Students Federation of India and Democratic Youth Federation of India of staged a protest programme titled �Where is my Job� here on Tuesday. The SFI and DYFI activists assembled on the AT Road near the Bisturam Baroaah Hall here to participate in the state-wide stir programme undertaken by the organisations against the BJP-led Governments of Assam and at Centre for �not able to provide jobs�.

The protestors shouted slogans calling for dislodging of the BJP-led Government of Assam in the 2021 Assembly elections. They also submitted a memorandum with an eight-point charter of demands to the Chief Minister through the Jorhat Deputy Commissioner�s office.

The protestors stated that the prior to the polls BJP had promised two crore jobs by the Central government and five lakh jobs by the State government in Assam.
