BISWANATH CHARIALI, Aug 1 - Dr M Angamuthu, Commissioner of the North Assam Division, visited Biswanath district today to review the law-and-order scenario of the district. He held a meeting with district and police administration of Biswanath on the draft NRC at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner, Biswanath.
He reviewed various aspects related to draft publication of complete NRC and law-and-order situation related to it. Deputy Commissioner Dheeraj Jyoti Kalia, Superintendent of Police Diganta Kumar Choudhury and other senior officials were present in the meeting.
Later, he visited the Gohpur sub-division and held a similar meeting with the officials. Apart from NRC, he also took stock of the flood situation of Gohpur from the ADC.
On the other hand, A community-level meeting was organised today at Kumolia village of Biswanath district. The matters related to draft publication of NRC were discussed . The Deputy Commissioner, Biswanath along with SP, Biswanath and ADC, Biswanath attended the meeting.
