MORIGAON, Dec 28 � Morigaon drubbed Hojai 8-0 in today�s inaugural match of the 62nd All Assam Khirod Baruah Memorial Senior Inter-District Football Tournament that got under way here today.
Eighteen teams are participating in the tournament which was inaugurated by Minister Rural Development and Forest Rockybul Hussain. The matches will be played in nine rural playgrounds in the district.
In today�s match, Birsing Bordoloi of Morigaon netted a hattrick (18th, 42nd, 67th minutes). The other scorers were Tapan Pator (34th), Ghana Pegu (40th), Dipen Bodo (70th), Dhaniram Bordoloi (78th) and Pinku Bordoloi (86th).
