GUWAHATI, March 22 � The Centre for Equity, Justice and Rule of Law (CEJAR) is holding a seminar on �Issues in Secular Politics: How to Make Indian Democracy Work For All� at the Department of Historical and Antiquarian Studies, Assam at Panbazar here. The function will start at 10.30 am on March 23, stated a press release.
Prof Ram Puniyani, Member, EKTA and Committee for Communal Amity, Mumbai, will deliver the keynote address at the function. Formerly a professor of the IIT, Powai, Mumbai, Puniyani is a recipient of Indira Gandhi National Integration Award 2006 and the National Communal Harmony Award 2007. CEJAR is a non-partisan, non-political and non-profit organisation. Chairperson, CEJAR, Akdas Ali Mir, an advocate of the Gauhati HC, said the seminar would be the first endeavour of the organisation formed in March this year.
