AIZAWL, March 20 - A Self-defence scheme for girls under RMSA for Champhai district of Mizoram has been launched. Under the scheme, which covers girl students of all Government High Schools in the district, shall be given training in Taekwondo.
District Education Officer and DPC RMSA C Rodala launched the scheme at at the Government GM High School in Champhai and said that the scheme has been introduced by the government so that the girls can protect themselves from any attack.
C Lalremliana, District Child Welfare Committee member, urged the public to do away with the practice of hiding rape incidents and also making any compromise over money for fear of shame but ignoring justice for the victims.
