Security beefed up in Dhubri dist

DHUBRI, Nov 2 - Security in the border district of Dhubri has been tightened following the Dhola incident of Thursday in which five persons were shot dead by unidentified gunmen.

While addressing the media, Dhubri Deputy Commissioner Anant Lal Gyani informed that, �Keeping in view the current current situation, we are taking extra care to avoid any kind of unfortunate incidents in the district.� He further stared that they are taking initiatives towards generating awareness against any kind of hate speech and any spread of ruumors and negative messages with the help of leading citizens under every police station. The extra ten companies of forces which was deployed in the district for NRC, have now been asked to check any situation that may arise keeping in view the unfortunate Dhola incident, informs the DC.

He also added that to maintain law and order in the district, a special monitoring cell and a Social Media monitoring cell has been engaged. �The BSF has also been asked to take care of the situation and the existing Army and CRPF personnel of the district have also been asked to be vigilant in thier respective areas,� added the Superintendent of Police of Dhubri, Longneet Terang.
