SEBA reschedules HSLC Exam regn date

By Staff Reporter

GUWAHATI, Nov 7 - The Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) has rescheduled the date of registration for the HSLC Examination 2017. The registration process, which is completely online now, would be done from November 20 to December 5, 2016.

The step has been taken after the State governments new fee concession direction for students of poor financial background.

The students belonging to a family having less than one lakh rupees annual income from all sources would be exempted from the registration fee of Rs 480.

The concession would be applicable in government, provincialised and recognised venture schools. Students of the other three categories of schools under the SEBA recognised private, unrecognised private and unrecognized venture schools would not be eligible for the fee concession.

To make the registration hassle-free, SEBA has made the process completely online. From filling up of the forms to the payment of fees through core-banking facility, everything will be done online henceforth, said Controller of Examination NJ Sarma.

However, all the candidates will have to pay the centre fee of Rs 250, and no rebate will be applicable on that.
