SEBA chairman visits Barama

BARAMA, April 8 � Minakshi Sundaram, the chairman of the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) visited the Barama HS School zone to supervise the evaluation works of HSLC answer scripts recently.

He was accorded a warm felicitation in a meeting held on the occasion. Addressing the meeting, Minakshi Sundaram highlighted the responsibilities of examiners and scrutinizers who have a lot of responsibilities. He also urged the examiners to get acquainted with the new system of evaluation works formulated by the SEBA.

He also appealed to the teachers to extend full cooperation to the new system for smooth evaluation of answer scripts. He said examiners would be given training in connection with the new system of evaluation three or four months before the commencement of the HSLC examination next year.

Sundaram assured that he would look into the matter of enhancing the remuneration of examiners, scrutinizers and head examiners once he gets a memorandum in this regard.

Bidyasagar Ramchiary, chief zonal officer, Baikuntha Nath Barman and Nabiur Rahman, officials of the zone, highlighted the problems in the zone, while Suryya Kanta Kalita stated the objective of the meeting. Binod Seshan, Deputy Commissioner, Baksa and Dr Om Prakash, Deputy Commissioner, Nalbari, also attended the meeting.
