SHILLONG, May 29 - Principal of St George�s Higher Secondary School, Simon Joseph was today arrested for allegedly molesting minor students of the school here.
Joseph was booked, but not arrested yesterday, after Civil Society Women�s Organisation (CSWO) filed an FIR against him for alleged molestation, harassment and also caning of the students.
Today, the CSWO filed two more FIRs against the Principal, while about twelve students gave their testimony about the allegations and were taken for medical test at Shillong Civil Hospital.
One of the victims said she was regularly touched inappropriately by the Principal and he threatened the students not to report the matter to anyone. Similar allegations were reported by other minor students against Jospeh. SP, Davis Marak said the school Principal was arrested today and would be presented before the local court here.
