GUWAHATI, Dec 12 - The 63rd National School Games Cycling (Roads) Championship got underway at Sonapur, near here today.

The championship has been organised by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Welfare, Assam where 251 cyclists from 14 States are taking part in the boys and girls U-14, 17 and 19 categories.

In the opening ceremony, School Games Federation of India�s (SGFI) observer Mukhtej Singh Badesha, SGFI joint secretary Jatindra Nath Borchetia, Dean of Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education, among others were present as guests.

The finals will be held on December 14.
