GUWAHATI, Jan 24 � Education for the differently-abled is important, and successful attempts to spread learning indicate the triumph of the human spirit over odds.
This was stated by Kamrup Metro Deputy Commissioner Ashutosh Agnoihotri, while flagging off a school bus of Shishu Sarothi funded by a corporate entity in the city today.
Agnihotri appreciated the efforts of Shishu Sarothi in providing special education to a number of students, who now have a chance to enjoy more fulfilling lives.
Mentioning that promoting special education is vital for social progress, he said that his office would always like to extend support to initiatives which helped the physically and mentally disadvantaged.
Present on behalf of Axis Bank, the donor, were several high officials, including Dipanjan Chatterjee, Senior Vice President and Circle Head. Attending the flag off function, Subhra Mishra, Programme Manager, Axis Bank stated that her company was impressed by the work of Shishu Sarothi. She hoped that more collaborations between Shishu Sarothi and Axis Bank.
