GUWAHATI, July 5 � As part of the celebration of State Bank Foundation Day, various programmes were organised at the bank�s local head office campus at Dispur here recently.
The day began with a pledge taken by all the employees of the bank at administrative offices and all branches of the bank, a press release said.
As part of SBI green initiatives campaign, a tree plantation programme was also organised at the local head office campus where tree saplings were planted. A cultural programme was held in the evening at the Pragjyoti-ITA cultural complex where four eminent personalities from different fields were felicitated with Rs 50,000 each and citations as a token of appreciation for their contributions towards society. Sanjay Kumar Magoo, CGM, SBI local head office, NE circle addressing the gathering appreciated the role played by them towards uplifting the poor and under-privileged sections of the society.
