SBI celebrates Bank Day

GUWAHATI, July 1 � The State Bank of India, North Eastern Circle, Guwahati celebrated the Bank Day today by felicitating four eminent social workers of the north-eastern region, stated a press release.

The persons who were felicitated are � Minoti Barthakur of Assam, who has been fervently working for the cause of cancer prevention; Chingmak Khejong from Tuensang, Nagaland who has been working for the rehabilitation of youth and families affected by drug abuse; Dr Sangthankima, a renowned social worker from Mizoram and Hasina Kharbih of Meghalaya, who has been championing the issue of human trafficking, the release added.
