GUWAHATI, March 7 - Satkara, a society for propagating Sattriya culture, is organising an all-Assam Sattriya dance competition in memory of Nrityaratna Dr Jagannath Mahanta on the Paltan Bazar premises of the Srimanta Sankaradeva Kristi Bikas Samity on March 13.
There is no age limit for intending participation. Registration will start at 9.30 am on the day of the competition and each participant will get seven minutes to perform. Participants can bring their own musicians or use recorded music and can perform both Pune dance or abhinaya-based items, said the organisers in a press release.
