Sania, Cara move to 2nd spot

NEW DELHI, May 12 (PTI): Sania Mirza and her Zimbabwean partner today became the number two team in the Race to Singapore for the WTA year-end finals in November.

Sania and Cara won the Portugal Open and reached the quarterfinals of the Madrid Open last week. They now have 2,462 points and trail behind Italy�s table leaders Roberta Vinci and Sara Errani, who have 4,430 points.

Top eight pairs will compete in the year-end finals.

In the individual doubles rankings, Sania remained in eighth place.

In the ATP singles ranking charts, Somdev Devvarman gained two places to be 95 while Yuki Bhambri lost a spot to be 156th.

Saketh Myneni suffered a 32-place loss to find himself at number 297.
