GUWAHATI, Dec 22 - The Sadou Asam Karmachari Parishad (SAKP) has welcomed the State government�s decision to launch a free medical scheme for employees and pension holders.
At a meeting between SAKP and the government held here today, Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi announced that the medical scheme would be formally launched in February next year.
The SAKP, while hailing the medical scheme, said the government has also assured that arrears of 27 months would be released in a phased manner.
�The grievances of the employees were discussed at the meeting and we are satisfied with the outcome,� said the SAKP in a statement.
