Sahitya Sabha session from tomorrow

KALIABOR, Jan 29 � The Pandit Atmaram Samanway Kshetra is all set to hold the 73rd biennial session of Asam Sahitya Sabha � the biggest literary fest of the State from January 31. The five-day fest would attract the litterateurs and literature lovers from different corners of the State as well as the country.

Other than the various programmes lined up for the event, sculptures of Sri Krishna and Rukmini will remind the visitors about the historic importance of Kaliabor. The main gate of the venue has been dedicated to Lakshminath Bezboroah.

The book festival�s gate has been dedicated in the name of Rudra Kanta Goswami. Several other events including an exhibition and trade fair would attract the visitors. Forty gates constructed in the names of distinguished personalities will adorn the venue.

A total of 160 book stalls would cater to the literature lovers, whereas 350 shops would be put up in the trade fair. To showcase the rich culture and history of Kaliabor, a huge exhibition stall called �Kaliabor Jilingoni� will be set up in the venue.
