GUWAHATI, Jan 25 � The 72 nd biennial session of the Asam Sahitya Sabha will be held with a four-day programme at the Biswaratna Dr Bhupen Hazarika Samannoykshetra in Barpeta Road from February 1 next.
The Sabha has stated in a press release here that its flag would be hoisted by president Rong Bong Terang at 9 am of February 2 at the Samannoykshetra. Coinciding with this, 72 representatives of the various communities will also hoist the Sabha flag at the same venue to mark the 72 nd session of the Sabha.
The Sabha has stated that the representatives of the various communities and organisations would attend the flag hoisting ceremony of the Sabha in their respective traditional attires.
The Sabha has sought to reflect the national spirit of the State. Several distinguished artistes, litterateurs and journalists from different states of the country and Nepal, Bangladesh etc countries are expected to attend the Sabha session, said the Sabha.
