GUWAHATI, Dec 23 - Six distinguished personalities of the State � Sattradhikar Narayan Chandra Goswami, Editor of The Assam Tribune Prafulla Govinda Baruah, singer Sudakshina Sarma, educationist Bhaba Prasad Chaliha, writer Dr Bijoy Krishna Deva Sarma and litterateur Sashi Sarma � have been chosen for the Sahitya Sabha centenary lifetime achievement award as a mark of recognition of their contributions in the State�s socio-cultural life.
The centenary special honour will be conferred on Bhadra Krishna Goswami, DN Chakravartty, Bhupendra Kumar Barma, Karpur Chand Jain, Kanak Chandra Sarma, Umesh Chetia, Karunakanta Kalita, Arun Borgoyari, Pachu Gopal Chakravarty, Prafulla Pran Mahanta, Narendra Nath Keot, Kusum Bora, Bhagagiri Roychoudhury, Nisith Ranjan Das and Khanindra Chandra Das.
The centenary Subhanudhyayi Sanman will be conferred on Tilakanta Phukan, Parashu Tamuly, Kshiteswar Sarma, Suprabha Medhi, Prasanna Kumar Das, Subhash Das, Nityananda Goswami, Golok Hazarika, Neelpadma Phukan, Phulendranath Chahariya, Lakshmi Narayan Konwar, Hiranya Bijoy Bhattacharya, Pradip Kumar Nath, Kaling Barang and Bhaba Goswami.
