DERGAON, Jan 4 � Noted litt�rateur and retired HoD of Assamese of DKD College, Prafulla Chandra Bora was conferred the Sahitya Pran title by the Golaghat Sakha Sahitya Sabha at a function held at the residence of the litt�rateur on Saturday.
A citation signed by Khirod Goswami and Anil Sarmah on behalf of the Golaghat Sakha Sahitya Sabha was offered by Dr Ajit Barua to the litterateur. In the programme, the vice-president of the Sabha unit, Apurba Ballav Goswami along with assistant secretray Jalilur Rahman and present president Bela Goswami, besides magazine secretary Tulumoni Sarmah took part.
It may be pertinent to mention here that the litterateur has been maintaining indifferent health since the last one month.
