GUWAHATI, Aug 5 - Sahil Dey of Assam secured the third position in the National U-11 Boys Championship at Sivaganga, Tamil Nadu. Shahil got nine points out of 11 rounds. Based on this performance he has been selected to participate at Asian Youth Chess Championship and World Youth Chess Championship in U-12 category next year.
The All Assam Chess Association will felicitate Shahil for his achievement on August 12. Assam�s Mayank Chakraborty and Aslesha Talukdar were 14th and 17th in the boys and girls categories respectively, stated a press release.
