BAIHATA CHARIALI, Jan 21 - A number of persons of Karara locality here received the life membership of the Asam Sahitya Sabha here at a function organised to observe Silpi Divas under the joint aegis of Karara Sahitya Sabha, Karara Anchalik Natya Gosthi and Youth Athletics Club. The function was held at the Karmaveer Nabin Chandra Bordoloi memorial library and community centre here.
Dr Birinchi Kalita, Associate professor of B Barooah College, Guwahati inaugurated a poem recitation contest.
