Rural sports complex inaugurated

DOOMDOOMA, Nov 15 - The Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Rural Sports Complex under the Kakopathar Development Block was inaugurated at Rangajan yesterday. The complex has been constructed at a cost of Rs 9.95 lakh.

The complex was inaugurated by former national handball player and the general secretary of Tinsukia District Handball Association, Shah Miruj. The inaugural function was also attended by the BDO of Kakopothar Development Block, N Hazarika, president of the Kakopothar Anchalik Panchayat, Tutumoni Moran, former Doomdooma MLA Durga Bhumij, secretary of the Doomdooma branch of Asom Chah Mazdoor Sangha, Rupesh Gowala, and several distinguished people.

It may be mentioned here that the State Government has decided to build a rural sports complex in every development block of the State in the name of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru under the Chief Minister�s Dream Project.
