GUWAHATI, Aug 16 - Rukminigaon Eleven FC won the Dr Amal Bhattacharjee and Dr Surendranath Sharma Memorial Independence Day Knock-out Football Tournament defeating Harin Chora FC of Cooch Behar 6-5 in penalty shoot out today.
The tournament was held at the Janata Bhawan playground here and was organised by Assam Jogging Association. The winning team was awarded Rs 20,000 while the runner-up team became richer by Rs 10,000. Best goalkeeper prize went to Anupam Gogoi of United Brothers FC while Chandan Barman of Harin Chora FC was awarded the player of the tournament. The man-of-the-final award was handed over to Abhijit Barman of Harin Chora FC.
