JORHAT, Oct 3 - Two persons on a motorbike snatched a bag carrying three lakh rupees from the possession of two women employees of the Konoklota Mahila Urban Cooperative Bank in front of the SBI, Jorhat branch, at AT Road here today.
Police sources said that as per the complaint lodged at the Jorhat Police Station by the Konoklota Mahila Urban Cooperative Bank authorities, two bank employees of the Mahila bank at PWD Road besides Gar-Ali � Debahuti Bora and Champa Gogoi � had gone to withdraw three lakh rupees from the SBI Jorhat branch to bring the money to the Mahila bank.
As the duo came out from the SBI bank with the cash at around 1.30 pm, two motorbike-borne men allegedly snatched the bag containing the cash from them and sped away. Police investigation into the case is on.
