HAFLONG, Jan 10 � The North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council and the District Level RPRS monitoring team are all in its efforts to achieve success of the programme introduced by Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi to bring all developmental programmes close to people.

The first round of meeting along with other programmes at the North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council constituencies under Diyung valley development block, Maibang started from 8 am onwards on January 7 last.

The executive member of North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council, Samuel Changsan and Debo Prasad Hojai took active participation in the programme along with the members of district-level RPRS monitoring team and officials from DRDA. The meeting highlighted the aims and objectives of the programme and created awareness among the general public about various government schemes. As a part of the day�s programme, a cleanliness drive and plantation drive was also undertaken with the active participation of the local public. An interaction programme with the public was held and petitions were received from them for early redressal thereof. Inspection of anganwadi centres, schools, public health centres, hospitals and sub-centres, water supply schemes, fair price shops etc., were held.
