GUWAHATI, Sep 1 - Along with the rest of the country, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) is celebrating the Raising Day Week of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) from August 29 to September 4.
A ceremonial parade was organised at Reserve Line Maligaon to mark the beginning of the week-long celebrations, said an official statement today.
The event being undertaken as part of the week-long celebrations, will include campaign to build up passenger awareness and give publicity to the security helpline No 182, facilitation of women and children at stations and trains, distribution of information leaflets among passengers, cleanliness drives at various locations, blood donation camps and security seminars on issues having a public interface.
