67th National Film Awards announced

NEW DELHI, March 22: Ronuwa – Who Never Surrender has been selected as the Best Assamese Film in the 67th National Film Awards, 2019, which were announced here today.

Produced by Bornali Creative Vision Entertainment, the film has been directed by Chandra Mudoi. It has been awarded Rajat Kamal that also carries Rs 1 lakh in cash.

Anu Ruwad has been awarded the Best Mising Film. The film has been produced by Obonori Pictures and directed by Dilip Kumar Doley. It also has been awarded Rajat Kamal.

In the Special Mention category, Assamese film actor Benjamin Daimary has been awarded for his role in the film Jonaki Porua.

In a boost to filmmaking ventures in the Northeast, Sikkim has been awarded Rajat Kamal as the Most Film Friendly State.

Eigi Kona has been awarded the Best Manipuri Film. Produced by Luwang Apokpa Mamikol Production and directed by Bobby Wahengham and Maipaksana Haorongbam, the film has been awarded Rajat Kamal.

Iewduh has been adjudged the Best Khasi film. Produced by Shiven Arts, the film has been directed by Pradip Kurbah. It has been awarded Rajat Kamal.
