Road show by alumni of US institutions

GUWAHATI, Nov 1 � The US Consulate General, Kolkata will hold a road show by some of the alumni who studied in the academic institutions of the United States, in the city on November 4. The function named � �The Education USA Alumni Road Show in Guwahati,� will be held at the Dispur auditorium of the NEDFi House here and American Centre Director Joanne �JJ� Joria will conduct it.

The road show aims at encouraging young students to pursue higher education in the United States. Joanne (JJ) Joria, along with exchange alumni Aashna Doshi and Akash Prasad from West Bengal, Dz�vinguno Dorothy Chasie from Nagaland,�Mahvish Rahman from Jharkhand, Tanzoom Afroz Ahmed from Assam, and Zenith Lairikyengbam and Shanchui Marchang from Manipur, will interact with school and college students.

The alumni speakers will share their personal experience of studying in a US educational institution � life on campus, extracurricular activities, dorm life, grading system, making friends, staying connected with family, community service and other details that went into the study abroad experience.��

JJ Joria will speak to press on the American Center�s involvement and initiatives for engaging with�US State Department Exchange�alumni and youth in East and North East India.
