Rly passengers allege harassment by eunuchs

By Correspondent

RANGIYA, July 18 A group of eunuchs have in recent times been creating an uncomfortable situation for passengers and visitors alike at the Rangiya Railway Station.

The former are regularly seem moving around from one train compartment to another and asking for, or literally demanding, money from the unsuspecting train passengers. While a section of the passengers are at times even humiliated and harrassed in the process, the concerned railway station authority seem to ignore the menace and have never been seen to initiative any strict measure to check the nuisance.

Meanwhile, some male passengers in an effort to avoid an embarrassing situation unwillingly offer alms in order to get rid of the eunuchs unsuave demeanour. Taking advantage of such a mindset of many a passenger, the eunuchs try to extract all they can from the people, some of whom are superstitious beyond reason.

A cross-section of harassed passengers, including regular monthly season ticket holders view this as a serious problem created by the eunuchs in their bid to earn easy money on a regular basis. The exasperated passengers therefore feel that the Rangiya Railway Station authority should adopt strict measures on an urgent basis so as to check the menace and make their premises passenger friendly in the greater interest of the travelling public.
