IMPHAL, Sept 14 - The equipment in Regional Institute of Medical Science (RIMS) in Imphal needs to be upgraded to that of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) level, said Manipur Governor Dr Najma Heptulla at the 47th Foundation Day of RIMS here today.
RIMS was established in 1972 jointly by Northeastern States and Government of Manipur.
During the celebration, the meritorious post graduate and BDS students were felicitated.
Dr A Santa Singh, Director of RIMS, said that a helicopter will be stationed at RIMS and will be utilised to cater to the needs of patients in far-flung areas in the State.
