Rich tributes paid to poet Brajendra Kumar Brahma

KOKRAJHAR, Dec 21 - The adyasraddha of noted poet and former president of Bodo Sahitya Sabha (BSS), Brajendra Kumar Brahma was observed on Friday by the Bodo Sahitya Sabha at Kokrajhar District Sports Association (KDSA) field in Kokrajhar where people from all walks of life attended and paid floral tributes.

As per the programme, BSS president Toren Boro hoisted the organisational flag at the Sabha office Rupnath Brahma Bhavan followed by floral tribute to the late poet, which was inaugurated by Brahma�s wife Kausalaya Brahma. A memorial lecture on Charan Narzary was held on the occasion of the adyasraddha. A memorial magazine was also brought out on the occasion.

The chief of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), Hagrama Mohilary, deputy chief Kampa Borgoyary, ABSU president Pramod Boro, ex-president of All Assam Tribal Sangha Ranjit Kumar Borgoyary, president of All Bodo Women Welfare Federation (ABWWF) Bibha Rani Basumatary, and others attended the programme and paid floral tributes.
