RGU, pharma institute sign MoU

GUWAHATI, July 6 - Royal Global University (RGU) and National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) Guwahati today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that would benefit both parties, according to a press release issued here.

The MoU was signed at RGU by its Registrar Angira Mimani and NIPER Director Dr USN Murthy in the presence of members of the Board of Governors of NIPER and RGU Vice Chancellor Prof SP Singh and Chairperson (Academic) Prof AK Buragohain.

According to the press release, the MoU will benefit the students of RGU in matters of joint programmes in research and development, including provision of summer/winter internship programmes. NIPER will also benefit from it in areas of joint research, publications, projects and sharing of resources (personnel and physical infrastructure including laboratories and instruments).

The MoU will facilitate planning and handling academic programmes/courses, organisation of seminars, workshops and conferences including exchange of mutual experiences in teaching, research and industrial practice.

The MoU will also explore possibilities of carrying out joint programmes in interdisciplinary areas of specialisation of high relevance to both the institutions. As per the MoU, both RGU and NIPER will jointly organise short-term continuing education programmes, seminars, conferences or workshops on topics of mutual interest, and invite faculty members from each other to participate therein.
