GUWAHATI, Sept 21 � A five-member team will represent the city based Royal Global School (RGS) in the U-19 section of the CBSE East Zone Chess Tournament to be held at Kolkata from September 23 to 26.
The championship is an official CBSE event from which the top four teams in U-14 and U-19 will be selected for the CBSE National Chess Championship to be held later this year.
The four-day championship will be hosted by the Laxmipat Singhania Academy, Kolkata. About 500 players representing about 50 school from across the east zone is expected to participate in this event, stated a RGS release issued here today.
