GUWAHATI, Oct 17 - The BJP Assam Pradesh celebrated the 116th birth anniversary of RG Baruah on the bank of Dighalipukhuri today.
The programme started with the homage ceremony by lightning of lamps by Santanu Bharali, president (I/C) BJP Assam Pradesh. Ajoy Konwor, joint organising secretary, BJP Assam Pradesh garlanded the statue of RG Baruah. The leaders and workers of the party offered tributes to RG by placing flowers at the statue.
A mass rally was also brought out to mark the occasion by the party where the leaders and workers of the party joined with great enthusiasm. The BJP workers also visited the inmates of the Mother Old Age Home at Jyotinagar area here and distributed snacks among the inmates, stated a press release issued by Bishov Lal Pathak, convener Sports Cell BJP Assam Pradesh.
