GUWAHATI, Oct 12 � The Kamrup Metro Election Officer has made arrangements for revision of the photo electoral rolls taking January 1, 2015, as the base year.
The preliminary electoral rolls for the LAC No.51 (Jalukbari), LAC No.52 (Dispur), LAC No.53 (Guwahati East) and LAC No.54 (Guwahati West) would be published on October 15, said an official statement.
Suggestions and objections can be filed between October 15 and November 10. Between October 17 and October 30, meetings of village sabhas, local municipalities and RWAs would be held where names in the roll would be reviewed.
From October 19 to November 2, meetings would be held with agents of political parties at booth levels for receiving objections and suggestions.
The objections and suggestions would be considered on November 20 and the final electoral list would be released on January 5, 2015.
