GUWAHATI, April 24 - The Assam Civil Service Officers� Association and the Retired Assam Civil Service Officers� Association, jointly organised Civil Services Day here recently, said a press release today.
During the event, retired bureaucrats Bhaskar Baruah, Jatin Hazarika, Ajit Borkakaty and Surendra Kumar Barua were felicitated for their lifelong dedicated service to the government and society at large.
The retired senior bureaucrats spoke about their experiences while in service.
The Civil Services Day function was attended by a number of serving and retired ACS officers along with their spouses. After the meeting saplings were distributed to all those present. Retired senior bureaucrat Bhudhar Phatowali, who could not attend the function due to ill health, was felicitated at his residence by Ashok Kumar Barman, president of ACS Officers� Association.
