GUWAHATI, March 20 - The home department today effected a major reshuffle in the police machinery, transferring and giving new posting to ten SP rank officers.
Gaurav Upadhyay will be the new SP of Karimganj, while PR Kar will replace him as SP, Vigilance and Anti Corruption (II). 9th APBn Commandant V Sivaprasad Ganjala has been posted as SP, Karbi Anglong in place of Debojit Deuri, who has been posted as Commandant, 24th AP (IR) Bn.
DCP (Admin) Arabinda Kalita has been transferred as SP, SB (G) in place of Diganta Choudhury, who will take over as the new SP of Biswanath. Brajenjit Singha has been posted as DCP (Admin). Prasanta Saikia has been posted as SP, CM Security, while Subashini Sankaran has been posted as SP, SB (Security) in place of Bir Bikram Gogoi, who has been transferred as Commandant of 23rd AP(IR) Bn.
