GUWAHATI, March 24 - The Home department on Wednesday effected a reshuffle in the police department transferring nine senior police officials of the rank of Superintendents of Police (SPs)/DCP/Commandant/AIGP.
While SP of Special Branch (Security) Vivek Raj Singh has been posted as SP of Lakhimpur in place of Brajenjit Singha, who has been posted at Commandant 12 APBn, YT Gyatso Commandant, 2nd APTF and Dilip Kumar Dey, SP, Nagaon, will replace each other in their respective posts.
Further, Sankaran Subhashni, DCP (Operation), Commissionerate of Police, will replace Rajen Singh as the SP, Hailakandi, and vice versa. Moreover, IH Bora, AIGP (R) will be the new SP of Special Branch (Security) and will replace Vivek Raj Singh.
In addition to it, Manabendra Deb Roy, SP, Biswanath Chariali, will take charge of AIGP (R).
