GUWAHATI, Oct 15 � The Producers Council (an association of empanelled private producers of Doordarshan Kendras of North-East India) has sought the intervention of the BJP in the matter of non-release of funds by Prasar Bharati for the North-East Commissioned Programmes of Doordarshan for the last four years.
The Producers Council submitted a memorandum to the president of State BJP Siddhartha Bhattacharya insisting that the funds should be released at the earliest.
�The Prasar Bharati has not released fund to the local Doordarshan authority for North-East Commissioned Programme scheme despite the fact that this project would continue till 2017,� the Council said in a statement.
