GUWAHATI, Dec 7 - The Regional Mathematics Olympiad (Assam), 2015 will be held on December 20 from 11 am to 2 pm at four centres of the State � Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Tezpur and Silchar, stated a press release.
All rank holders, awardees of certificates of merit and appreciation in category III and category IV in the Mathematics Olympiad and Mathletics 2015, excluding students of Class XII, are eligible to appear in this examination. However, it is also open to any other highly motivated students of the State from Class VIII to Class XI having extraordinary talent in mathematics.
Based on cut-off marks to be fixed by a team of experts after the examination, candidates will be shortlisted for making them eligible to appear in the National Mathematics Olympiad to be held on January 17, 2016.
Application forms for the regional Olympiad 2015 with names of centres and coordinators will be available in the AAM website and the filled-in forms must be submitted to the coordinators concerned on or before December 19, the release informed.
