In a joint statement, Noke and Kaito said their party in its CEC meeting held on March 31 last in a resolution welcomed the appeal of the NGOs, mass-based organisations, Hohos and concerned citizens for the NPF to reconcile and work together in the greater interest of the State. The party also acknowledged the directive of the Election Commission of India (ECI) for the party to amicably resolve the differences within the NPF, they said.

Accordingly, the duo said the party has resolved to pursue reconciliation within the NPF in the interest of party unity and in the overall interest of the State.

They said that in accordance with the resolutions, Noke had officially written to Dr Shrhozelie on April 1 to pursue reconciliation as directed by the ECI and in acknowledgement of the appeal of the civil societies.

They revealed that Dr Shrhozelie has replied on April 7 welcoming the initiative while also agreeing on the need to reconcile within the party. Accordingly, senior leaders have already met him to continue the process of reconciliation, they said.
