By Correspondent

DIMAPUR, Aug 26 - Centres interlocutor for Naga talks RN Ravi today called on Nagaland Governor PB Acharya at Raj Bhavan in Kohima.

The Governor praised Ravi for his role in the signing of the framework agreement between the Government of India and NSCN(IM). He also expressed his happiness at the Government of Nagalands request to the Centre that talks should be held with other groups with whom the Centre has entered into ceasefire.

It is also logical and necessary to incorporate their views in the framework of the peace agreement, Acharya said. He also stated that he had spoken to Home Minister Rajnath Singh even before the peace agreement with the NSCN(IM) was signed and opined that the talks should be inclusive, involving all groups. He expressed satisfaction that both the Home Minister and the interlocutor have been meeting with all the groups including civil societies, NGOs and all others who are for a peaceful and prosperous Nagaland.

The Governor said he, along with all the 60 members of the Nagaland Assembly would work hard with trust in each other to ensure an honourable implementation of all the clauses of the agreement and asserted that there wont be any trust deficit.

He said the time had come for all the people in general, including the students, youths and mothers in particular, to be ready to usher in a peaceful and developed Nagaland. We have the potential and a strong government at the Centre to take our country to new heights, the Governor stated.
