Ratan Thiyam to deliver JRMD Goenka lecture

GUWAHATI, Nov 29 - The ninth annual Jeewan Ram Mungi Devi Goenka memorial lecture and presentation of lifetime achievement awards for excellence in culture will be held at Pragjyoti ITA Complex, Machkhowa here from 5 pm on December 6, a press release said.

Shatrughan Sinha, Member of Parliament and popular actor of yesteryear, will be the chief guest of the function, organised by Jeewan Ram Mungi Devi Goenka Charitable Trust.

Eminent theatre personality Ratan Thiyam will be the guest of honour and he will deliver the memorial lecture. A highlight of the function will be a live performance by popular playback singer Kumar Sanu.
