Rare honour for Dhubri scientist

DHUBRI, Dec 21 - Dr Faizuddin Ahmed, a 35-year-old scientist from Dhubri district has been enlisted in Stanford�s list of top 2 per cent scientists in the world.

Ahmed, a resident of Balazan village and a teacher in a private college, along with 60 Indians Physicists has been featured in a list of top 2 per cent of the world scientists. It was informed that the prestigious list is prepared every year by a team of scientists in the US�s Stanford University.

Talking to this correspondent, Ahmed said, �A total 62 research papers has so far been published in international journals and out of which, 50 papers have been authored by me.�

Talking about his educational journey, Ahmed informed that he completed his school education at Balajan High School and graduated with Physics Honours from Bhola Nath College of Dhubri in 2006 and later did his MSc and PhD in Theoretical Physics from Gauhati University.

Meanwhile, Ahmed despite having financial constraints, has continuously carried out his research work in Theoretical Physics (General Theory of Relativity and Quantum Mechanics).
