DULIAJAN, June 8 - The All Assam Ranking Table Tennis Tournament got off to a colourful start at the OIL Indoor Stadium, Nehru Maidan here today.

The tournament has been organised by the Duliajan Table Tennis Association (DTTA) under the guidance of the Assam Table Tennis Association (ATTA).

Ashit Baruah, president of the DTTA welcomed the gathering and players in the inaugural function. About 400 paddlers from all over the State are taking part in the meet.

ATTA treasurer Nayanjyoti Sarma was felicitated in the opening ceremony. Sarma also formally declared the meet open.

Rajdeep Bhuyan has been appointed as the tournament director for the championship while Gubinda Upadhyaya will act as chief referee. He will be assisted by Biman Bhagawati and Chandan Goswami. Subrajit Singha is the observer for the tournament.
