Ranking TT tourney at Sivasagar

GUWAHATI, Aug 19 - The Sivasagar District Sports Association, under the aegis of the Assam Table Tennis Association (ATTA) will hold the All Assam Major Ranking Table Tennis Championships at Sivasagar from August 29 to September 1.

More than 400 paddlers from all the affiliated districts like Guwahati, Golaghat, Mangaldoi, Jorhat, Sivasagar, Dibrugarh, Nagaon, Nazira, North Lakhimpur, Duliajan besides the two institutions-NF Railway and Oil India Limited are expected to participate in the championship.

Altogether 10 singles events from cadet (boys and girls) to seniors (men and women) will be held during the meet.

The ATTA has appointed Subrajit Singha and Nayanjyoti Sharma as official observers of the championship while Rajdeep Bhuyan will act as competition manager. Gobinda Upadhaya has been appointed as chief referee and he will be assisted by Biman Bhagawati and Chandan Goswami. The draws for the championships will be held on August 24 at ABITA Indoor Stadium, Guwahati at 6 PM, informed ATTA secretary Tridib Duvarah in a release.
