GUWAHATI, July 25 - The 5th Nagen Hazarika and 9th RG Baruah All Assam Major Ranking Table Tennis Championships will be inaugurated tomorrow at 4 pm at the Deshbhakta Tarun Ram Phookan Indoor Stadium in RG Baruah Sports Complex here.
Lakhya Konwar, member secretary, State Level Advisory Committee (SLAC) for Students� and Youth Welfare will be the chief guest in the opening ceremony where Director of Sports Pabitra Ram Khound will also be present. Around 450 players from all the affiliated districts � Guwahati, Nagaon, Tezpur, Golaghat, Jorhat, Sivasagar, Nazira, Namrup, Dibrugarh, North Lakhimpur, Silchar and Duliajan along with institutions like Oil India Ltd, NF Rly are expected to take part in these championships. Altogether 10 individual events will be held from cadet level to senior level for both men and women.
